just wanted to say a huge Thank You to you all for playing at Mick’s 60th Birthday celebration last Saturday (22/2/19) and it was lovely to meet you. Everyone had a fantastic time and thought Strings and Reeds were brilliant. You brought the party to life with everyone joining in, the calling was spot on, the music wonderful and just what we wanted – A truly entertaining evening with family and friends.

I trust the weather was not too bad for your journey home. The feedback from Saturday has been excellent and I would like to pass on a personal, as well as collective, thanks to Strings & Reeds. After years of an excellent Scottish band playing at our Burn’s night, our regular players retired, and it was with some trepidation that we sought a replacement and turned to Brian and his band We need not have worried at all ! Last year was their first year, and they managed a group of 146 diners, some dancing, some “people watching” with great skill. They were first and foremost excellent musicians who taught the dances to go with the music in an entertaining and easily understood way, particularly for those of us who had more enthusiasm than dance steps! This year, if anything, was even better! Quiet music as a background whilst eating, full participation in the tradition that is the Burns supper, followed by all our old favourites, walked through for the novices, and then performed with further instruction as required. The seasoned dancers danced, and those with “L” plates giggled their way through the evening, and once again a great time was had by all. Looking forward to next year, thanks to a great group of talented musicians who know how to please a crowd!

Just want to give you feedback on the Strings & Reeds band we booked for our ceilidh at Swanick on Saturday .
They were brilliant! Everyone had a great time and we really appreciated how well they included the children. We’d be more than happy to recommend them.

I want to take this opportunity to say how wonderful tonight was. We have had so many excellent comments.
The music was great! The caller of course was fab! A great atmosphere and a fun time.
Please thank everyone in the band again.
We hope to book again next year.
